![]() On the bright side though, until they fix their new AI, the HD and CD AI on hard is still a whole bunch of fun. It has to be bugged if some people get a hard AI that can fight and others get one that only builds 16 units in one hour. Playing against hard AI is boring, and playing against hardest is. I honestly believe there's a bug, and i most certainly hope so, cause i had way more fun in the HD edition. They start building troops once i'm attacking them and not before, whereas in hardest you get attacked by hundreds of soldiers. They have a better economy than me, i don't deny, they just do nothing with it. ![]() Tried a skirmish with your settings, they didn't build much more troops (39 max), but at least they attack you (maybe cause we're closer to eachother). If someone wants to, the AI scripts are there to study - there's videos by spiritofthelaw on both how the AI 'thinks' and an interview with the creator of the DE AI. ![]() I also couldn't finish them off once they got into imperial age, not even when I hit them with enormous armies of trebuchets and elite units, because they would spam units and use their insane micromanagement skills to convert half of my army in 30 seconds. There's differences both between the difficulty levels and between original, HD and DE AIs. They didn't create large armies, I think the largest I saw was around 80, but their economic management was impressive, out-producing me in every resource in every game. In each game they attacked me with a good sized army of archers and skirmishers around the 15-20 minute mark. I played around 6 games against a hard AI - 1v1 games on black forest, small map. Just got out of a skirmish against hard AI, game lasted 1h10, their biggest army was 23 soldiers. Then we're really not playing the same game. They're also incredibly tough to defeat once they get into the imperial age and they have their economy going because they spam units and use their awesome AI micro-managing skills that human players can't hope to match. On hard the AI will attack you in the feudal age or the castle age, usually with a whole bunch of archers and skirmishers.
